Just for those of you wanting to get on to your Playstation Network:

I've done a bit of searching and found that Sony are aware and are working on the issue that effects the none slim ps3 s connection.

Update: its fixed ! Seems they needed the clocks to tick midnight for the issue to be overcome, you can probably expect a firmware update in the no to distant future in order to avoid this problem in the future
