Can anyone recommend me a good video editing software as movie maker keeps crashing on me?

I like Adobe Premiere personally. Tried the Sony one and didn't get on with it. Premiere has quite a few nice filters, wipes, transitions etc. Keeps the CPU working for quite a few hours when you render but does the job for me.
