you know on websites where you type in your house number and post code and the website finds your whole address??
well, my house doesn't come up on it and its caused a parcel to go to the wrong place today! not good as the parcel is £££'s
to the point, how do i get my address to show up on it?? we are not ex-directory. where do i apply or who to contact, the council!?
any help much appreciated, thanks
if you order something and put your address in, you can normally still type it in yourself can't you?
is it like you live at 147 whatever road, and with your post code it only goes to 145 or something? perhaps you don't live at the post code you
thought you did, but its never casued a problem before?
a post code only relates to a small group of houses, like 10 or so i think

I've also just had this problem. Someone ordered a loom and im trying to get a courier to take it but the address doesn't show up on any of the websites....
yes sometimes you can enter manually but as pointed out it can also cause problems. Especially when telling someone over the phone who is using the
system that yes i do know where i live and no, i know it dosen't come up on the screen, but yes it does it exist and no i'm not crazy
(yet)
thanks steve for that link!
Speak to the post office. They are the ones that sort all that.
Depends on the software version the company are using (could be outdated) also if it's new builds it takes a while for the address to be
available to people.
Can't remember the amount of times I've argued with someone over the fact that I used to go back to a non existent house!! until magically
one day.... computer says yes.
Speak to the post office / royal mail, they own the PAF (Postcode Address File) which most of these companies subscribe to. You may be able to do it
via www.royalmail.com.
I worked on PAF development years ago when I was with royal mail.
Most of these companies use data from the Royal Mail so firstly check their website to see if your address is there.
I recently amended our address as the one on the Royal Mail site was wrong.
I did this throuigh the local council, sorry can't remember what dept.
It took them a couple of months and eventually appeared correctly on the Royal Mail system. You may be able to do it direct with RM as others have
suggested.
