Football on my computer this afternoon ?
fesycresy - 23/6/10 at 09:24 AM

As I'm stuck in the office all day with no one to talk to and broken air conditioning, is there any way I can watch the game from my PC this afternoon?

Thanks.

tvcatchup.com

Isn't it streaming live on the BBC web site ?

Expect every corporate IT helpdesk to be flooded with calls from people moaning that the network speed has plumeted later this afternoon. When what they really mean is "iPlayer is a bit jittery and I missed the England goal(s)"

Big assumption there mate!

TVcatchup might be a better option. Quite a few workplaces have filtered the iplayer feed for rather obvious reasons. The NHS network has certainly been modified to block it.

What you need is some sort of company that offers air conditioning. One that perhaps is local, very local to you?

I have the new air con stuck in the stores, but we are so stupidly busy, I've got no one to fit the bloody thing.

Was going to do it myself, but my hands are too soft for real work these days

THIS ^^^
i have just set up a projector in our canteen to allow people to view it there and so we only have 1 stream instead of 100's

beagley - 23/6/10 at 03:10 PM

I've been trying to stream it here in the states from ESPN and unless you use one of their "affiliate" ISPs you can't watch. They just started that today. I've been able to watch all the other games, at work, up until now.

I think the appropriate UK term I've picked up from you lot would be.... w@nkers..... correct?

ugh....

theconrodkid - 23/6/10 at 04:39 PM

is there some football going on?
i noticed some people cheering at a telly where some people with dodgy haircuts and shorts were kicking a small round thing around

Ninehigh - 23/6/10 at 07:30 PM

Foot ball?

All I've noticed is a bunch of people walking round shouting "Engerland!"
