Printing file names

Quick Question...

How do I print a list of the file names that are in a folder?

I can see them all but can't find out how to print a list of them .

Thanks

Paul

old school

open a command prompt
dir > atextfile.txt
notepad atextfile.txt

I usually do a screen grab, then copy the contents into paint and select the bit I want to keep by cropping.

In my case, I email the lists, so just CTRL V the contents into the email.

Job done.

You could just as easily print it.

I do this a LOT

I have a little dos batch file I use to do this. you drop it in the folder and double click and it generates a text file in the folder.

I'll post its contents when im in work next

at the dos prompt do
dir /b >atextfile.txt
notepad atextfile.txt

this will create a list of files but this will not have all the other crap like size, attributes etc.
