Is it possible to resize photographs in Windows 7 or does one have to download some additional software? If a download is necessary, can you recommend which one please.

Pixresizer is really easy to use and also can do a batch of photos at the same time.

Right Click...Edit..

This should open the photo in Paint...then just click resize...

Not tried it myself, but this appears to be growing in popularity

Best to use Google Picasa for handling photos

Irfanview (free download ) does that and much more.
