Hi,

I have a acer aspire 5535 and i have never been able to get sound while playing films in the dvd player. It plays the picture but no sound?

Anyone got any ideas? Im using windows media player if that helps?

do audio files on media player work ok normally?
its not media player thats muted is it?

Media play works fine on videos online but not with dvds? I really dont understand the codec stuff and dont know what to install.

Can you please give me an idea. Im a complete idiot!

it comes with codecs already active allowing it to play almost anything apart from apple based media.
