Blocking Images from the Internet
locogeoff - 25/6/11 at 11:04 PM

If there is an image displayed on a website you frequent that you would rather choose not to view and you browse with Firefox download the Adblocker plugin, right click on the image, select "AdblockPlus: Block image". You will be offered to block all the images from that site or block a specific image. You never have to see the image stored at that location again.

Regards

Geoff

Thanks Geoff,

You inspired me to have a look around too.

I just found Adblock Plus (Beta) for Google Chrome from the Google Chrome website. Reviews give it a thumbs up (it's the official version) and from my 15 minutes of testing just now it seems to work well.

cheers
Dave

It's a permanent fixture in all of my Firefox installations - amongst other things, I use it to block over-sized avatars and signature images from this site!
