Playing PC games in bed ....
Jasper - 1/7/11 at 11:52 AM

I've moved my decent spec PC from the office to the bedroom so we can watch HD movies on the TV there.

Problem is I'm using a small wireless media keyboard with built in laptop style mouse pointer which is great for internet and media viewing but crap when you want to play a FPS like Duke Nukem.

Does anybody know a good way of playing FPS games without having to sit at a desk? I've got a Logitech wireless gamepad which is fine for driving games, but no good for FPS games.

I was thinking about getting one of those trays for eating your food on your lap that has a bean bag type thing underneath for stability, and then getting a wireless keyboard and mouse to sit on it.

Anybody else got any better ideas?

i made a tray for mine out of 9mm MDF. it wraps around the sides of you so you have more to rest your arms on, and has large holes drilled out under where the laptop goes for extra cooling

you can buy adaptors for connecting xbox/ps2 controllers from eBay etc, not my preference as I like keyboard/mouse but may fit you?

It needs to be a keyboard combo - I hate using joypads for FPS games, you don't get the accuracy or speed of a mouse.

Well not really the sort of games I like to play in bed, given the chance, but each to their own.
