Looking at buying a new laptop and wondered which processor is best to have .
Not really clued up on computer jargon.
Thanks
Brad.

This can get a bit like the BEC/CEC debate with people who only ever use one brand....

At the moment I would say the Intel Sandybridge is your best bet.... damn good bit of technology... although due to be replaced soon.

AMD are a little behind intel in terms of technology at the moment..... but no doubt this will change around in a few months as they compete with each other.

Really depends on your budget.... I have a laptop with a Corei7 which is a pretty nifty bit of kit!

Intel i7 all the way.

does it really make any noticable difference?

Depends how much money you are spending I guess....

I am looking to spend upto £500.

Totally biased opinion here - Intel for me

with a Laptop/Notebook/Netbook it is more important to look at battery life between charges than anything else.

I find they're kinda much the sameness really, not noticed any real difference they're all too slow!
