Off on holiday in a couple of weeks so decided to put a load of music onto my phone but not much space left on my 8gb card. So bought a 32gb card, had
a sniff around on the net and it seems you can just copy files between them, so I did the following.
8gb card in phone, connect phone to PC, open phone card, make all files visible, copy all files to HD, safely remove phone.
Turn phone off, remove 8gb card, insert 32gb card, turn phone on, connect phone to PC, right click on phone card and format to FAT32. Copy all files
from HD onto 32gb card in the phone. Can see all the files are copied onto the card. Safely remove phone. If I then look at the phone - there are some
of the files on the card, but 90% are missing. Where have they gone? What am I doing worng?
Any help would be much appreciated, tried doing this 3 times so far and yet to get it to work.
Cheers
Dave
I just remove the micro SD card put both cards on the netbook using an SD to USB adpator for one card as the Netbook has only one SD slot.
The Netbook runs Linux I have never tried to do it in Windows.
For quick transfers between phone and PC I use the Airdroid App.
One other thing not all 32gb SD cards are compatible with phones and some 32gb cards off eBay are fakes old smaller capacity cards reworked.

You probably haven't done anything wrong - they take a while to appear as the phone updates and re-creates thumbnails etc.
I have exactly the same on mine. Give it a few minutes (max 20) and they will all appear.
Hmmm - interesting.
Well the SD card did come from Ebay and is branded as Sandisk in sandisk packaging. When I look at the disc properties if comes up as 32gb, both in
the PC and phone.
The original card was an 8gb SDHC card and the new one is alos SDHC, the packaging even has the android logo on it.
Tiger super six - when you say the items should appear, I've got Astro file manager on the phone and if I open it it shows hardly any files on
there - is that right and do I need to wait to see if it all magically appears?
Cheers
Dave
Yep, I also have astro file manager and same applies.
Put it in and wait and they will appear, did the same for my music and also pic's.
What format are all your files in? Maybe the phone will only recognise MP3 files, so if you have any WMV, or whatever the file format is that itunes used to use, it cant see them.
Thanks Tiger - will try again tonight.
Luke - the issue is related to all file types - pdf, jpgs, mp3s etc etc
