My old cannon printer BJC250 has died and we would like to get something more up to date,
This is for household use, not buisness
It has to be user friendly
to scan, copy, print, photos as well
good on printer cartridges,
cost up to about £150
anything else i shoud be aware off ?
So, what do you guys use, and recommend
regards
steve
Unless you do a massive amount of printing £35 HP printer scanner from most super markets will do the job reliably. Just make sure it is one
that accepts XL cartridges. ie usually 300xl or 301xl
Ink saving tip leave it on 24/7
what will you be printing?
if its photos stick with inket printers, the quality compared to colour laser (in your price bracket) is much better
if its mainly letters and home work, consider a cheap colour laser, they are much cheaper to run long term, however you do pay a lot more for toner
cartridges initially, though cost per page is always less
I dont know much about the £150 range, i only really ever see £1k+ printers so cant really recommend you much
Mike
Home printing letters etc, but more importantly copying, and probably even more use will be photos
steve
I've just bought one of these;
Canon Pixma MG3150
Great bit of kit for the money. When the ink cartridges run out, I'll probably sell it on e-bay and buy a new one..........

I got one of these:
Brother-something-or-other
Mainly because of the price of these:
Cheap-o cartridges
Prints + scans nicely and hooks up to the wireless without an issue. Although I'm not sure of the benefits of wireless scanning, as I have to
walk over to put the original in anyway!
I would reccomend a kodak...
very cheap ink compaired to most and no qualty loss.
pictures print as good as photo labs

Had a kodak and it was crap. cheap ink but didnt work long enough to use it. When it came back repaired it was in even worse state. I replaced it with an epson and its superb. the ink isnt much dearer than the kodak either.
