/>
Any advice welcome including isp cost and service. 512k or 1meg with 3 computers hard wired and sometimes a laptop. Self install is the way I am
wanting to go.
So over to you lads
get a router with modem built in. around £60 if you shop arround (i like http://www.ebuyer.co.uk ) and don't go for the cheepest ISP they put download capps on and sometimes proxy based connections. you end up with old web pages when browsing if their proxy is slow. i have been using pipex for about 3 years and no problems. the 1mb service is very good
You don't need to use your Netgear router, the product you linked to includes an ADSL modem, a router and a four port switch.
Consider whether you are likely to want any wireless conectivity, as it may be worth investing in a wireless modem/router now, rather than buying an
access point to add onto your ADSL router.
I have used a 512Mb Pipex connection shared between 3 PC's and my Xbox for the last year or so and they have been ultra reliable. There are now
cheaper options around, but you may want to satisfy yourself on the quality of service, including customer service.

Gives you the rundown on services. I use f2s 512 service uncapped at £22.50 a month. They run a couple of capped ones but between 1.00am and 6.00am
does not count towards the download limit.
My company will be lauching a service in the next couple of weeks. If you fancy getting connected as a beta tester I can get you connected now.
Price will be £19.99 for 512k or £28.99 for 1MBit, both 50:1 uncapped.
