You could try to go to the control panel, go to 'Users and Passwords' right click the user you want to make login and select properties. Maybe try resetting the password for that user?
I don't want to monkey around with my own settings (!), but it's somewhere to start looking.
All the best

Do you mean you have auto-login enabled currently, but you want to be able to type in username and password manualy?

If so, piece of cake.

1) Go to Control Panel, Users and Passwords

2) Click to set the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box.

3). Click the Advanced tab.

4). Click to set the "Require users to press Ctrl-Alt-Del before logging on" check box.

Et voila, no more auto login.

So you want your PC to ask for name and pwd before it will connect to internet, or NOT ask. Or is it logging into windows itself at start up?

when you go to log onto this site it remebers the username, it used to remember the password also but in an option window that comes up this was disabled i want to disable this.. make sense? i am the only user of this computer so i don't mind it filling in the password.

try typing in the wrong password, then when it asks you again type the correct one in and it should ask you if you want it to remember the password for future use
