recommendation for colour laser printer
02GF74 - 21/5/15 at 06:28 AM

Prrsumably due to lack of use my epson inkjet doesnt work, guessing its blocked print head nozzles. May try fixing it but same is likely to happen so thinking of getting colour laser but no idea whats good.

Needs to be:
- wireless
- print a4 but a3 would be nice
- can scan
- can photocopy
- colour
- price around £100-150
- not cost a fortune to run but im an infrequent user so not that important
- must be happy to sit switched off and unused for weeks
- phyicically not much larger than a inkjet
- decent build quality
- prefer for it to be blavk

Any features ive missed out on?
????? Open to suggestions,.....

Can't recommend a laser, but Epson do block printhead nozzles unless used regularly, just pop the cartridges out & clean round the printheads (where the base of the cartridges are pierced) with a cotton bud soaked in thinners or acetone, should get the Epson working after a few cycles of head cleaning.

Impossible to recommend a specific models as they seem to change every month.
Hewlet-Packard inkjets don't suffer blocked nozzles near as much as other makes. Only thing to be aware of is the low end HP Deskjets tend to be a bit noisy and slow so an Officejet Pro or a higher end Photosmart is a wiser buy, particularly as the ink costs per page tend to much lower than on the low end models.

With Lasers look at Brother, HP and Cannon not much to choose between them.

There isn't a machine on the market that ticks all those boxes for that money.

Dell C1765NFW

I've got the non multifunction version, but the printing side is broadly the same.

It's cheap to buy, has good quality print, and with compatible toner at 20 quid for all 4 colours is cheap to run, doesn't mind being unused for long periods, and has been generally hassle free.

The only niggle is the paper drawer cannot be folded in with paper in it, so needs emptying between uses, or leaving out to get dusty.

Thanks for repkies and suggestions, dell printer seems a likemy candidate.

Ps i did try to unblock the nozzles but without success.
