Afternoon people,
I have an HP ProBook 4530s work laptop running Windows 7 Professional.
I also have a pair of Bluetooth cordless headphones.
I'd like to use the two together, but can't work out if my laptop has Bluetooth and if it does then how to turn it on.
Can anyone help me with where to look / what to do?
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick
I had the same problem with a Probook 6560b last week. I had to enable it in the BIOS and after that it worked fine.
Startup the laptop and press F2 and delete alternately, can't quite remember which one it is and then you may need to press F10.
Once in the BIOS it is one of the settings in there. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll take a look and write up some instructions
loggyboy - thanks I'll take a look at lunchtime.
tims31 - thanks also and if you have time to write up instructions I'd appreciate it.
It's one of those things that I'm sure is possible and must find a way to solve
Okay, on my Probook 6560b which I'm sure will be pretty similar to yours.
Press power on and press F10 straight away and it should boot into the BIOS. Once into the BIOS use the arrows keys to navigate to the system
configuration screen.
Scroll down to the Built in device options and press return
On this page scroll down to the 'Embedded Bluetooth Device' and make sure it is ticked.
Once thats done, escape out of this page and save the changes when asked. Reboot your laptop and hopefully the Bluetooth is now enabled.
Below are a couple of screen grabs to show what I mean

Hope that helps
Thank you for taking the time tims31
