Hi Guys
Just wondering if any of you are playing F1 2020 ?
and if so , does it play ok on a sub standard pc ?
My pc is i5 64 bit, 16 ram, but does not have a graphics card, and I cant find one that will fit
I don't want to buy the game (£44) for it to do nothing

Try this;

However I can say with fair certainty that without a graphics card you won't get anywhere near.
Out of interest, why won't it fit? No PCI Express slot? Or is it a physical limitation? So graphics cards can be found in half height
configuration, although they can be a bit more expensive.

My new pc is a mini tower, and the Nvdia graphics card is about two times two big
What CPU is it? Some of the newest AMD APUs might but can it definitely not fit a SFF card? Most powerful one I'm aware of is the GeForce GTX
1050 Ti 4GT LP. Performance is never going to be the best as often in v small systems the psu is a bit anaemic. If the computer has a thunderbolt3
port (or could have one added via a card) you could add an external gpu though they're fairly expensive for what you get. I'd even consider
running a pcie cable and power supply out the back and use an external standard card- proper ghetto install.
I just had a quick search Ryzen 3400G APU with a slight OC runs F1 2019 at average fps of 61 on medium.
I am thinking of getting an xboxone or ps4, as my PC is in the spare room, yet if I go down the F1 game, this will be done in the garage, as
there's no car in there anymore
xboxones on ebay are cheaper than half decent graphics card

is it a dell mini tower by any chance,
I have a i5 4590 and installed a GPU, if it is a dell you may also need a different PSU and also a power adapter
I know you can get the GTX 1050 in a half size card

Yes it is a Dell mini tower/destop
Ive just noticed it says 8.o ram, yet I was positive it was 16 ??
that will be the next problem!
steve
what is the model number of the pc 7020/9020 etc
with the mini towers you can't upgrade the PSU (easily) so any GPU may be marginal for power comsumption. I think the standard dell ones are
290w.
I think the low profile/low power GTX 1050 "might" be ok.
I've just done all this and bought a 7020 Desktop tower as they use a stadart ATX size power supply. Still had to buy an adapter harness as some
dell mother boards use a non standard connector

Thanks guys, I appreciate your help, yet again
Now its a mass debate of Ps4 v Xbox, and I know less than nothing on either !!
steve
I believe the xbox is generally better for racing type games. Though im no expert.
Personally, I would not be investing in a current gen console right now - PS5 / Xbox Series X are due at the end of the year.
Once that happens, you've got maybe 6 months to a year before PS4/XboxOne new releases stop entirely.
