Is it possible to extend the trial period on trial software ,by messin with the registry ?

How does windows no when the time is up?

Can this info be changed /updated?

I guess if it was easy everybody would do it but I thought I would ask....

yes and no. Depends how legal you want the software. Alot of sites do crackshacks for all sorts of software packages which will play with your registry or the trial program to some extent.

The long and the short of it is that it is possible but not legal

What software is it??

Rich.

Clone CD 5.1

i found a serial for it but it needed a small program to insert the serial, in searching for this I got infested with loads of trojan type things which I then spent 2 hours clearing!!!( thats the trouble with visiting these shady craks/ serials sites) so I was trying to get round it another way.

Sometimes if you get a program called RegCleaner (see link). You should be able to delete the registry entry for the program, without uninstalling it. Then when the program starts again it will create a new registry entry. Though a lot of people are getting wise to this and so manufacturers are putting other measures in. If you delete the registry entry on many programs it makes no difference.

also for a temp fix, just change the date on the clock at the bottom right hand corner of your screen back to a day after u installed it, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt
