IE vs Firefox
mookaloid - 4/4/05 at 09:17 PM

Having defended Internet explorer on several occasions it has started playing up. It will no longer open more than one session - i.e. I can only have one web site up at once and if I launch IE to get a new window it just changes the original one.

I am using firefox for now but I would like to get to the bottom of this any ideas anyone?

Cheers

Keep using Firefox - whats the problem?

Some sites are not au fait with it though, though these are few and far between. In which case you can always downgrade to IE again for this purpose only

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> uncheck "Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts."

And... make sure that you don't have a program running which is blocking
pop-up windows-
something like Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another) pop-up blocker, etc.
Can you use open link in new window from the right click menu?
