I'm in a bit of a spot. I have a program which is about to expire and I really don't want it to! I haven't a clue about editing the
registry, though I have located what I suspect is the item that is responsible for the programs imminent demise.
Of course, I could be totally mistaken and could be barking up the wrong tree.
However, rather than damning myself over the net, could one of you young puter whizzes email me and talk me through the editing bit if it is indeed
possible to do it?

Theres a program called regcleaner which is useful for cleaning your registry. Can be found here:

Be warned that a lot of the limited trials programs time limits are now not linked to the registry entries. And removing them will not stop it
expiring. (Program developers are getting wary to tricks like that). Some programs even if you uninstall and remove all reg entries you can find, will
still not work if you reinstall them.

Thanks Flak. I installed RegCleaner recently on the advice of someone on another thread (probably you!), but I'm still afraid of editing the registry because I'm a dumbass and I'm afraid of doing more harm than good. There is a thing waiting in the wings called karma!
Karen's registry prune is quite good for saving parts of the registry as backups see.

Regcleaner backs up any changes you make so that they can be undone. Basically any entry that is related to programs you know you have installed will
be fine to remove. (Though the program may not work afterwards, most will as they just recreate lost registry entries!) Dont be afraid of the
registry, especially with regcleaner. Basically the simple rule is, if you know what it is, then you can delete it (if you want to), if you dont know
what it is, leave it alone!
Regcleaner is also good for removing programs from startup...
