Listening to Digitally Imported through Windows Media Player at the moment. How can I record this for playback in the car? Do I have to download it to my pc , is there a way of recording it on the fly? Can anyone recommend any software, thanks Glan.

Depends on file type really... if it's streaming you could record it 'live' using window recorder. If in a file just copy the file into Nero6 and it will convert to standard cd format to play in most car's.

For 'shoutcast' style streaming mp3 stations you can just dump the stream straight to a file.

curl http://64.236.34.97:80/stream/1003 > di.mp3

...did it for me under Linux. I'm sure there must be a similar application for Windoze.

Get hold of a copy of Advanced MP3/WMA Recorder, it'll record anything that goes through your sound card. You will have to record in real time, but it does the job.
