I managed to get hold of a Windows XP Media Center edition disc 2, the one which has the media center parts on it, and was researching into how I
could install the Media Center part onto XP Pro, when I came across Media Portal. It turned out that I could have installed the Media Center parts
onto XP Pro but only if I changed some registry entries to make it think it was MCE, but it just wasnt worth it.
Media Portal is just as good, if not better, is free and opensource, more (free) plugins, loads of skins, can take any amount of TV tuners, and can be
installed on any post 98 windows OS.
So, before you go out and buy a Media Center PC consider this.

I;m currently waiting for a Pocket PC remote control program to be made
The only downside is that it is quite slow to load, because it uses .Net framework.
