Should be a copy in the "Sent Items" folder of your mail client as long as you are using Outlook or Outlook Express.

Hi,

If you are running windows go into Start and click search, it will give you the option for searching files, folders, word docs,

pick your choice and put in a key word i.e name of the document and it should find it if it's on the computer

If they want to take you to court let them find it.

ive tried searching through files and folders,no trace even though i know i saved the "word" document, would they also be saved in outlook?cos 1 is saved there but not the important one.
i had considered that aproach pete but thought i,d better play along with them as i dont want extra greif....esp as i am sueing them when its all over

Okay,

Same search, but go into files folders and it gives you the option 'All files folders', then 'word or phrase', if it's not there then it was never saved or sent.

I dont know if this will help, but I have a utility called System mechanic pro and it has an option in it to recover deleted emails. But it will only do this for Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape.

Theres a 30 day free trial here
so give it a try.

We've used it for recovering several lost and deleted items on hard drives. It's free and will find a specific type of file if you enter the .doc file extension. File recovery
