what programs are people using for peer to peer these days?
i have limewire, exeem and a torrent client thing
anything better around
Lime wire seems fine to me for more obscure stuff - though I find BitTorrents more useful for new things
Azureus fot Bit torrent
i get on alright with ares.
get it from aresgalaxy - it's free then
tom
where are you getting the bitorrent files from?
'They say' Shareaza is good...
Torrents available from isohunt etc do a 'google' on torrent sites.
Most 'warez' are riddled with spyware and trojan's, not so many virus's lately. Make sure you have very upto-date AVS and Firewall
together with ISP annoymiser No system is totally safe but you can take steps to protect yourself as best you can.
The quality of content on 'illegal software' sites is reducing due to more and advanced anti-pirating techniques. If you are relatively new
to that game, I'd personally advise you to avoid it.
If new music is your taste go to soundforge.net a mine of musicians without contracts who give away there music purely for raising their awareness in
the hope that someone 'big' will sign them up, then they get fleeced!!
I've heard torrentspy.com is good, along with novatina. I didn't like Shareazza at all, found limewire better
Hellfire - ISP Anonymiser - what and where?

If I were into that sort of thing I'd use eMule which, I'm told, is excellent for finding most types of file. I can't speak from
personal experience of course.

I'd thoroughly agree with Vince... DC++ is an absolutely brilliant bit of peer to peer software and highly underated.
Been using it since the original Neo Modus DC and have never not been able to find an app or game...
Of course I wouldn't download these files. Just look at them and see what sort of size they are and who's winning in the ripping race and
then go out and buy them...

Jasper - it's a small program that scrambles your ISP making it (allegedly) more diffucult to trace.
You should use it when downloading anything no entirely l e g a l - you are being watched!
Have you deleted a post with a link to it?
No I never put one on... too risky It's also not shareware so i won't.
BTW - I finally got to grips with DC++ - it's not all it's cracked up to be. Some torrent sites are MUCH better!
So where can i get it from?
