i,m using firefox,suddenly my front page has changed to what looks like a newer version of firefox.....but my faves have dissapeared,how do i get them back without system restore?

just Google for porn and I'm sure you'll recognise all your favourites.

Do a search for a file called 'bookmarks.html' on your C drive. Once you locate it (fingers crossed) go into firefox, go to bookmarks, manage bookmarks then import. Point it at your newly found file then that should be it.
It's a good idea to make a copy of your bookmarks file once in a while for just such an emergency.

Bookmarks menu - Manage Bookmarks.

The top line is called Bookmarks Toolbar Folder - put your links in there.
