Laptop battery.

My Toshiba laptop battery seems to have croaked after 15 months, and guess what? Not covered under either Toshiba's warranty or the extra cover I pay for!

Any advice on where to get a new one? Tosh want about £100, but not too keen on this if they only last just over a year. Seen loads on Ebay for £50 and a few on the WWW for £75.

Long shot but I have known it to work.

discharge the battery wrap tightly in clingfilm and pop it in the freezer for 24 hours leave to defrost for 24 and try then charging it up again.

sometimes works but no promises.

Try this place - seems pretty good value - found it searching for a replacement for mine. Not ordered one yet however so unsure of service.

try these guys, they are very helpful and can normally do you a replacment that is better than the original. Do not buy a laptop battery off EBay, we had several customers who have over the last year or so and all failed within 6 or 8 months.

I have bought both laptop and Video camera batteries from ebay with no problems and better/cheaper than OEM from ID zoo2003yy direct from Hong Kong.
