Dell 2300MP Projector Fault

Hi Guys

Just wondered if anyone had any experience dealing with Dell. I got a 2300MP projector for the church I'm involved with and it failed ( I think the bulb ) after 30 mins. I know bulbs are not ordinarily covered under warranty, but do you think there might be some cases?

in my experience with Dell if you keep trying they may well mend it. Especially if it has only been used for 30mins as you say. In the passed we have missed "deals" on the website and if you push hard enough they always give in and take your workd for it

Are you sure it was after 30 minutes and not dead out of the box?

You will probably get some experience, I recon they are probably about £250

So you probably really want to push the fact that it was onjly 30 mins and you did'nt move it while it was on etc etc

If it was a new unit I think you may have a chance. This is from a supplier of replacement bulbs here and at £306 inc. vat I think you definitely have a case for a replacement.

Hi Guys

I rang Dell this morning and am REALLY impressed. Not only did they agree it was much to soon for the bulb to fail, they offered to change the whole projector! They are sending me out a new one this week and will contact me later to arrange pickup of the faulty unit. Best customer service I've seen for some time. Not what I was expecting!
