Need a porn/etc filter for my kids PC FAST
Jasper - 3/7/06 at 05:49 PM

Just had a bit of a shock at what my 12 year old is looking at on the web, thought we'd been keeping an eye on it.

So, can anybody recommend a good and preferably free filter I can run on her account?

what ISP are you with?

Most have a paretal filter option that you can turn on

Hi Jasper
If you want a simple way to block questionable site names then this works!
PAC filtering
I just check the web addresses they've visited every now and then to see if there are any more keywords to add to the PAC file.

another good thing you can try is going here:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/
although not specifically for porn it does block a lot of it and it is a VERY simple idea with no need to install and more software

They've been bought by pipex so are now a brand of a big ISP.

My company use surfcontrol, but it's a bit heavyweight (and probably insanely expensive) for home use.
