I am thinking of bidding on some seats on ebay that are "pickup only"... since, according to ViaMichelin, it would be approaching a 500 mile
round trip, I am looking at alternatives before bidding. Could I get a courier to pick them up, package it and transport it? Would that be a bit
risky? Who? Prices?
Ideas or thoughts, please
Ta.
Try http://www.interparcel.com I use em a lot, good prices and third party collection no prob
Cheers
Alex
PS
Seem to use TNT as their courier
The person who you bought them off would need to package them up and then you could use somebody like parcel2go
Linky
Hope this helps.
Regards
Rich
BTW what the item number?
Most companies I have used say the parcel must be packaged by the sender so as to avoid any claim for damage while in tranit due to bad packing,
sorry
Jason
First thought is email and ask the seller if tehy would mind you arranging collection like this, some get touchy about you bending their rules after purchase
Surely somewhere on this forum there must be someone local to the seller?
They could package them up for you and provide a collection point.
What's the location Humbug ??
Steve
PS If it was local to me, I wouldn't mind picking them up for you as I've copied a few of your good ideas already
A lot of the time the sellers have also make a mistake or just missed off the delivery options.
Email them to ask the question. Although, it does work in your favour if you can arrange somebody local to collect, as the prices things fetch are
always lower on collection only stuff, as it puts people off.
Like Steve says, do it the Locost way. There must be members on this forum who could relay the items to you.
Whereabouts is the seller?
Phil
