to 8 meg.
Been a loyal customer, never missed a bill. In August, "freenetname" closed down and transfered my account to "madasafish". I
kept paying the bills.
"freenetname" broadband was unlimited downloads, but "madasafish" is 5 gig max per month. I reckon this is a change of terms of
the contract. So I want to give them the boot.
Where is good for internety?
Oh yeah, just to complicate matters I have my own domain "www.mikecookson.co.uk" and all my email addresses are
"mail@mikecookson.oc.uk" etc so I'd like to be able to keep them going if possible.

Have a look on adslguide at different suppliers. You need to arrange a new one and migrate your connection so you don't have any down time waiting for the new service.
Don't go with Talk Talk, they are in a total mess if anything goes wrong with your line or broadband. I have spent the last 60 days and around 70
hours on the phone trying to get someone to sort it.
They "upgraded" me from 2 mb to 8mb (but didn't in form me).
Doesn't sound bad does it?
Until you realise that I now have problems connecting and my upload speed is 48K and my download speed is 20k.
Some upgrade, from 2mb to less than dialup speed
Today I emailed them that I have just signed to BT's home hub and would be back to BT on 8th December.
Guess what?
They were straight on the phone.
Too f**ing late I said.
I use Swift Internet, it's really business class but excellent service all the same. http://www.swiftinter.net

Because of major unreliability issues with both BT and my ISP I put a second line line in last month to give a back up for phone and ADSL connection
with a second ISP.
So I had to do a bit of research -Download limits are a fact of life they started to come in as soon faster 512 ADSL conections became possible.
These day the info on the adslguide.org.uk is not 100% up o date.
I found Plusnet offer some fairly good deals, even on the cheap limited contracts downloads are free between midnight and 8 am. However they do tie
you in.
Plus net are also fairly on the ball with regard to giving you control over your mail boxes, and redirection and have good spam filters.
My other ADSL connection is with Zetnet who are very nice people but are a good bit dearer don't give you anything like the same control over
your services. In the spring that line will be going to Be for ADSL2 and phone.
One other thing --- some friends have just installed BT Home hub --- so far they have been less than impressed as a wireless router it is a good (toy)
boat anchor.

I'm moving my home ADL too because of limits set byF2S. I'm going with Eclipse, they do bandwidth unrestricted services, just a monthly limit, as well as cheap bandwidth limit deals too, and they're very 'upfront' about it, unlike F2S who took nearly a week to admit they started restricting downloads last Feb.
