check out mcsorley plans (click links) there are fewer mistakes in there but not much in the way of suspension brackets etc....and welcome to the nuthoose

Good look, trust me when I say the basic chasis is the easy bit

David has started a list for the book errors

See Link

You don't make it easy on the newbies do you Conrod!

http://www.mcsorley.net

From here you will get a 'correct' chassis plan and cutting list! Basically the book but with the mistakes taken out!

Hope that helps, good luck!

James

Welcome CJtheman. Personally, I chickened out of building my chassis, so when you've finished making it ( next weekend) I might be able to offer advice on the rest

Welcome to the site mate.. Dont be afraid to ask any questions. No matter how silly they may seem.

I got half way through my chassis then gave up as i was building outside and it was rusting quicker than i could get it together. I followed the mcsorly plans, much easier and less mistakes.

You're at the beginning of a very long road, but welcome!
I've done 2 chassis now and the only advice I'd give is make it 1" taller all round including the transmission tunnel. You'll need this anyway if you want to fit the Pinto in.
