just downloaded solidworks 2004 as i see a few others here use solidworks (probably a newer version but i have slow internet).
Does anyone have a chassis they have designed in solidworks that they could email me so that i can have a play and get used to how to use it?

Best way is the tutorials. They are definately there in 2005. Cheers
