My Granddad's eyesight is pretty poor nowadays so this afternoon I took him out to buy a nice 22" TFT monitor. When I set it up for him I
set all the font sizes nice and big via the desktop properties tab, and he could read everything no trouble. Success! Or so I thought...
The problem is that for some unexplained reason the fonts keep reverting back to their default size (e.g. icon text, menu text etc). It's
happened a couple of times now, both while we were using the computer, so it's not like it happened when we rebooted or anything like that.
I'm pretty good with computers but this one has got me stumped, does anyone know why it's happening and how to stop it?
Cheers,
Pete
not sure how you are setting it up at the moment but can you do it using the accessibility wizard under accessories and accessibility in the start
menu.
This should allow you to do the very same thing just by a different method. No idea why it is changing back but sometime if you try setting it up a
different way????
Hope this is of some help
Rupert
Thanks Rupert, I'm currently manually changing the font sizes by adjusting the desktop properties but I've just had a quick look at the
method you suggested and that looks like it could work too. I've been round tonight and set it up again so I'll just see how it goes; if it
messes up again then I'll try the other way.
Cheers,
Pete
