Hi, can somebody please tell me why when moving from one server to another it takes up to 3 weeks, they tell us it's because we are on a LLU, whats that, also Wanadoo has dropped our connection speed from 7.6 Mbps to 1.1, is that out of spite because we said we would be moving, i understand building cars not this, all help greatly appreciated, regards Alan.
LLU means they use sky equipment in the local bt exchange. I moved to sky and was told a similar lead time, but i had no loss of service on the switch
over that i noticed and the sky service has been very good.

Ned.
Thanks ned.
LLU means your line has physically been moved from a BT piece of equipment to Wanadoo's. To change supplier, they need to send an engineer out to
change the cabling in the exchange.
As for the change in speed - if you are paying for the 8M you should be receiving it. Have you tried restarting the modem?
With 50:1 contention he's paying for 0.16M not 8M so can't complain.
The speed drop could be because you have exceeded you download allowance for he month and have been throttled. --- Unlimited broadband doesn't really mean unlimited.
Wanadoo are saying there is a fault thats why i am only getting1.1Mbps, but because i am moving they are not going to help.

Eh !!! my unlimited with AOL means just that i hammer my connection with Torrent D/L's and over the years have never had a "throttling" of my connection...
