My girlfriend has just asked me to help her create a spreadsheet that will basically be a form where the user can only choose yes or no options.
No idea how to do this, and she's already asked the IT boys at her office. Would want to ruin her current impression of my IT infallibility....
so I said I'd get back to her. Meanwhile, ask you guys!
Any tips? Will she have to run be running a macro or is it possible without?
Thanks,
James

set up 2 cells with yes and no some where away from the main input screen
highlight the cells you want as yes and no inputs
click on data validation
select list
highlight the 2 cells with yes and no in
click ok
the cells you wanted yes and no will have a little drop down on them when you select them and you can only pick yes and no.
if need be included a blank cell when selecting yes/no.
doh to slow again:

Can you do it with "IF" "THEN" type statements in cell formulae? Possibly you'd need drop down menus to limit the choice to YES / NO options.
Probably pretty much covered already but... http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal01.html#Dropdown
It worked!
Cool!
Thanks for the help everyone, particularly Aboardman.
Cheers,
James
