CD to mp3 /4
madrallysport - 9/9/07 at 11:05 AM

Is there any programs out there, to allow me to convert my cd's to mp3 / mp4.

Bought a mp3 player for the car, I have downloaded 970 songs onto a dvd to use in the unit, but I would like to convert all my music to this format.

Loads of CD ripping utilities out there....
I used to use CD X-tractor one.
Now I use the one made by EUsing.
They all pretty much the same!!!!! Just make sure it uses the cd-db to find the song titles etc.

i use nero 7 .. will the head unit play dvds ,mine will only play mp3's on a cd
you might as well leave all the music on your pc as it is and just burn it as data when you want to make a cd

I used to hate Windows Media Player but I've gotta say it's pretty good at ripping CDs to MP3 format...

- Simply plonk the CD in the drive
- Load up Media Player
- If you're online all the album and track info downloads
- Click on the 'Rip' tab at the top
- Make sure you set the path (where it's going to save the MP3s)
- Select an appropriate quality of MP3 (IMO nothing less than 192kbps)
- Click 'Rip'

Bob's your uncle!

PS: If you don't get on with Media Player then the best (free) ripping software I found was called 'AudioGrabber'
