Did it myself last week.

Couldn't agree more.

Have they fixed the screen font rendering? I really really tried to get on with 3.x because I want to ditch windows for our home PCs but I eventually gave up because of the dog ugly fonts on our widescreen laptops. I tried a few of the fixes out there but none came even close to the quality of rendering in windows. Plus, messing about deep within the OS seems a bit against the mint ethos. It should just work...

Can you post a full resolution screen shot of the pistonheads front page? I assume you're using anit aliased fonts?

actually i see what you mean, im just used to crappy setups at work so didnt notice!

actually ive done a little digging and its not linux or mints fault, it appears that its firefox not handling fonts very well

take a look Here
the fonts are much better by default as they arent using arial by default, anyhow, ive installed the MacOS X fonts as they are quite nice

The most impressive thing about is the ease it handles wireless networking
