Been having a few odd problems with the laptop of late, started with Firefox acting
odd and the pc hanging.
No signs of viruses etc so decided to run the recovery disc and restore to factory setup.
All went fine and ran through the Windows setup and windows rebooted and it never came
back on.
Dead as a Dodo. Mains or battery, nowt.

It's a Toshiba Equium M50-164 and any suggestions welcome.

Tried removing the battery and operating it that way?

Try taking the battery out and the power cable out and then press and hold the on/off button in for 5 secs, then put the battery back in and press the power switch to switch on normally.

dont no if its the same as mine but i had a Toshiba Equium a60 the same happened to me it was the bios chip had died. got a new one of ebay for i think it was about £8 job done. then a week later my kid pulled it on the floor and killed it pmsl.

Thanks for the suggestions,
Tried the loing press off on switch and still nothing. Not even the led that usually glows
when plugged into the mains.

The good news is when I dug out the paper work to phone Toshiba I found the warranty
which is still Valid. Forgot I'd took the extended one out. Being collected on wednesday.
