I've just started a new job and although I don't need to use CAD to do my job it would be very useful to have an understanding of a 3D cad
package such as Solidworks.
I've done a search here and seen it's possible to download a copy from www.isohunt.com but I've never used a site like this before and
don't really understand how to do so.
It looks like I need to download some software to enable me to then download Solidworks. How does this all work?
Is it secure to do so? I'm not too concerned over the moral aspects but I wouldn't want to make access to my PC easy for anyone.
Any advice would be greatfully received.
John.
The file you download is a torrent file which needs a prog like uTorrent to utilise.
It is quite simple to do but can take several days especially with larger files like this one.
Just leave the prog running in the background while you are doing other stuff - I leave mine on overnight which is often the best time to download as
there is less internet traffic and you will get faster downloads.
Good luck with SW - its probably the best 3D prog but a bit of a monster to master.
