Powerpoint over two screens trouble
Jasper - 20/2/08 at 05:35 PM

So my nice 26" TV has arrived, and I've set it up to run from my laptop. So far no problems, I have set up the display options with two screens and can drag the Powerpoint window over to the big screen fine. However when I go to run the presentation it runs back on the laptop screen, and not on the TV monitor which still has the Powerpoint window on it.

Any ideas as it's driving me nuts!!

In the slide show settings there is an option to show the presentation on the primary or secondary monitor. Not got office on this laptop at home so can't give you the exact menu location.....hang on look here

Hope that helps.

On ppt 2004 it's Menu Slideshow->Set Up Show
and then the "Multiple monitors" dropdown.

Pretty sure later versions will have it in a similar place.

Function + F5 Key iirc.

Cycles either or both screens on at the same time.

Yeah, powerpoint works quite well on dualscreens.
- You can have the edit window on one, live preview on the other. Or have the presetantion playing on one, and notes coming up on the other, etc.

But as the others have said, theres settings...

That's great, thanks chaps, got the presentation on the big screen now, and a good secondary/notes screen on the laptop ..... perfect
