I have to view and print a document, that has been sent to me, but sent from Microsoft Works, and i dont have that one !
How can i get the document to appear in microsoft word ??
please, as its doing my head in

Jack office and use openoffice instead. Free and better at converting etc, so it's compatible with just about everything.
Word has an import filter for Works documents but it might no be installed..
Have you managed this yet?
Depending on which version of office you're using, Word *should* be able to open a works file. Pretty sure 2003 upwards can open it without any
trouble, if not installing the patch McLannahan mentioned should do the trick
The Word import filters have to be installed when Word is installed (or installed from CD at a later date) -- it used to be common in the days of
small hard disks not to install them but these days with loads of disk space it is best just to install everything on the Word/Office CD
The real problem with Word documents is going to be the next generation XPS format --- MS are creating a lot of problems for non-MS users. Coporate
users generally have had the sense to stick with Word95/97 .doc format but home users just install the defaults and assume everybody can read xps.
