Is there any way I can stream radio from the internet (Listen Again on BBC etc) through to the other side of my house and play it through a set of
iPod speakers with a standard mini jack line in? Needs to be cheap and simple.....
This is what I've found so far:

free pc off freecycle, set it up to run your firewall on a wireless network and have it over the other side of your house so you can also use it for
streaming too?
I got a wireless router for £28, works a treat and is useful for getting games consoles online too.
Only problem would be space...
Stick an fm transmitter into the speaker jack of the PC and you should be able to tune into it using any FM radio.

The FM transmiters ive used have been fairly non-ideal. (same as the one above)
I have a laptop which i use basicaly soley for the above task, and listening to my contection of mp3 based music on the house NAS drive.
Laptop cost my £40 all up in the end, half decent 4year old thinkpad.
- Paid £100 but then parcelfarce cracked the case and i got £60 back of them and never repaired it becuase it works fine cracked!

I have used the FM transmitter above and it works fairly well in most situations. I used my iPod to broadcast my own music collection to a busy factory, picked up on about five radios around the building. Quality is suprisingly good too. You would of course need a small FM radio connected to your iPod speakers.
Got an FM transmitter for my ipod, might give it a go.....
