my previous disaster.....
spookily the lappy has burst into life again (are hard drives sposed to rattle?).
i would like to save the ms prog i have on there by burning to a disc,it wont play ball tho,is there some way of storing said prog till i have nailed the new hd?

usb stick?

As above but do it quick as you are on borrowed time with that hard drive

no floppy drive, and its not programed up for the internet,ill pop out and get a usb stick morra,cheers again peeps

When it's alive dont turn it off, hard disk always fail on power up/down so if it's running again I wouldn't turn it off till you've done your backup!
