can anyone tell why my pictures in my archive are massive,do i have to resize them and how?

to be honest, i prefer em like that

yes you will need to resize them before uploading. I tend to use 640 x 480 pixels for my "normal" pictures and 200 x 150 for an avatar picture.

There are a few programmes you can try. I use Pixresizer myself and find it very simple to use. There was a thread this morning also with another similar (probably better) programme.
