Laptop docking
Blackbird Rush - 16/10/08 at 10:24 PM

Going to trade in my desktop for a laptop to give me some freedom, but when in the office I want to use dual screens (as i currently do with the desktop).

I've noticed that docking stations have a VGA & DVI (same as my videocard in the desktop) can i run dual monitors in the same way from the dock or would it be an either or??

Looking at Toshiba stuff as it looks pretty robust, its going to be a business machine.

Ta for any advice.

I run dual screens on my Dell laptop with dock. It takes a bit of fiddling to get the resolution right, but makes it so much better once setup.

I run dual screens with my mac without a dock...

can the graphics card in a laptop really handle 2 screens?

I run two screens in the office with a HP laptop and one screen at home.
As mentioned it take a bit to get it right but it can be done.

Cheers for the replies, used to faffing about with PC's to get them to work so should be OK then....
