This may be a silly question but it shall be asked none the less.

I'm thinking of fitting bike throttle bodies (not carbs) to my MX5 engine, I know power gains aren't major but sounds awesome! Can this be done with manufacturer ecu?? It's a 1997 mk1 1.8

You may get it to work but you would have to retain the MAF which would pretty much kill any power gains and leave it sounding the same.
