ayoungman - 28/1/07 at 09:04 PM

907 - 28/1/07 at 09:24 PM

I thought that was presented very well.

A mix of humour and sincerity, without milking it.

Top show , top blokes , ban the Fifth Gear.

David Jenkins - 28/1/07 at 09:38 PM

I did like the "no fuss please" entrance for the Hamster...

NDC790 - 28/1/07 at 09:44 PM

Bugga, missed it!

Does anyone know if it will be repeated?

Bugga bugga.

martyn_16v - 28/1/07 at 09:56 PM

www.finalgear.com

it'll be on there fairly soon

PAUL FISHER - 28/1/07 at 09:56 PM

Great show, except that road resurfacing bit, what was that all about a waste of 20minutes of the show,I am sure most people don't watch top gear to see that frustrating viewingor is it just me

Andy S - 28/1/07 at 10:10 PM

Thought the same - found that all a bit tedious and pointless

Jamie Oliver came across as complete Berk. in every sense of the word.

And what is going on with May's hair

For a return to the telly show I was expecting more.

Re-run on BBC 3 this coming Saturday at 7pm. Why do I know? Because I fell asleep. (Tarmac bit I think)
Buggrit.

NDC790 - 28/1/07 at 10:55 PM

thanks m8

JoelP - 28/1/07 at 11:23 PM

the tarmac bit was daft, they started off being there to improve things, and ended up acting like a bunch of incompetent morons. How much license fee money got wasted on that junk?

tweek - 29/1/07 at 12:36 AM

Hamster must have one very hard head to survive that impact, truly scary viewing but I thought they dealt with it very professionally.

I think a "We're not worthy!!" moment is called for.

So great to have it back on, i've missed them!

brynhamlet - 29/1/07 at 08:05 AM

It's just as well Hamster is a short a**e. If you noticed his head was well below the roll bar, so when it turned into a plough at 230mph, his head was probably above ground. If it had been Clarkson he would of ploughed the ground with his head. Doesn't bear thinking about

Hellfire - 29/1/07 at 08:37 AM

Scared the be-jesus out of me watching Hamster getting into that rocket with wheels. The quip about the biggest accident you'll ever witness was ironic! Shame about the land speed record but rather see him alive and in one piece than in a coffin...
JC reference to working in Rotherham, (he didn't really, he just got paid) I'd like to add that he did move away rather sharply when he got even more rich... he was the son of an already rich family. Money breeds money - as they say!

I just read a headline on yahoo that the owner of the jet car blames Hamster for crashing because he tried to brake when the tire blew. But I would have thought that if the car slid out of control because he braked then the it would have slid the other way, towards the good tire.
Just a thought.

I suspect that he needs to find someone to blame with all the HSE people interested in the crash...

greggors84 - 29/1/07 at 02:49 PM

I thought it was a good show, but not worthy of such a long awaited comeback. One that might feature halfway though the series maybe.

I though the roadworks part was drawn out in parts, but there were some funny bits even if they were staged.
