just busy wiring my 893 blade engine to my mini and when trying to turn the engine over the neutral switch wire is heating up and smoking.

any ideas ??


also does the blade engine need to be earthed for any of the components to work ?

Sounds like your neutral wire is being the earth!
Engine needs to be earthered for the starter if nothing else

yep the engine needs a good thick earth wire attaching, sounds like your starter has tried to earth itself via the neutral switch wiring
