Picture help

I have tried a couple of times but I haven't managed it yet.

I want to embed images in a post as you do from the photo archive but using my picassa account as the source

for example if i wanted to post this pic linky what code would i need to put into the pop up box?

Can anyone help??

right click on your photo, highlight and copy the URL address.

This is what you need for the insert image option when posting.

You need the URL of the actual image which will end in .jpg - you get the by right clicking on it and choosing "copy image location" in Firefox or from the "properties" screen in IE.
Giving you:

[img]http://lh6.ggpht.com/_LNfI2_iaSR0/SG7iPUBGyGI/AAAAAAAAAFU/oBRnAjOAOmk/New_100_0134.jpg[/img]

On the Picassa site, right click on the image and select COPY IMAGE URL

Start a post on here click on the insert picture button above and paste the copied URL in the box, press OK to insert the embedded image text.

I was just going to do that very thing. Liam, all you need to do now is click edit on bimbleuk's post and you will see all the syntax.

I see little red X in a white box.

I think some sites do not allow linky's. What I have found is that you can make the link so the image displays for a few minutes then I am guessing the site realises that the image is linked so it probably changes the images info. so the link fails.

Hence the small red X.

That's strange - now I can't see bimbleuk's picture. Anyway, you can click edit on anyone's post to see their wording.

Incidentally, as you've seen above, that link gives everyone access to all of your photos.
