Looking for the cheapest new laptop in the world?

Hi,
I want a very cheap laptop for running mapping software only really. I use macs normally but need one for the garage work. Any suggestions? Nearly new considered if anyone has something very cheap? Will give it to girlfriend when i have finished for web use only.

What do you need exactly, what operating system, harddrive size etc.
Ive got a couple of old tosh satelites knocking about you can have for much cheapness.

If your just after something for the garage to do mapping stuff you might as well check out Ebay....


Find something older that will run XP and has a serial port...

You should be able to get something more than useable for £150..... get one of the bigger brands and getting spare parts on ebay is easy

I,ve got an old thinkpad that I use with it came with a knackered battery.

Just run a cable from the car battery and its okay, these are pretty robustly built which you need as lots of jostling and bashing when you are on the move.
